2. What we collect

When you use TripSplit, we collect:

• Account info: email address, username, and display name
• Profile photo: if you choose to upload one
• Trip data: trip names, locations, dates, and status
• Expense data: amounts, descriptions, who paid, and how costs are split
• Receipt images: if you upload or scan receipts for an expense
• Payment handles: Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal usernames, only if you add them
• Friend connections: your TripSplit friends list
• Push notification token: so we can notify you about expenses, payments, and requests
• Authentication identifiers: a unique user ID from Firebase, which we use to manage your login
• Basic diagnostics: crash data and error logs to help us fix bugs

3. Third-party services we use

TripSplit relies on the following services to function:

• Firebase (Google): handles authentication and login
• Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosts our backend and database
• Cloudinary: stores profile photos
